Welcome to… The Compassionate Friends of Spokane

The Compassionate Friends is a self-help organization offering friendship, understanding, and hope to bereaved families that have experienced the death of a child of any age, from any cause.  The Spokane chapter of The Compassionate Friends serves Spokane County and all surrounding communities.

The mission of The Compassionate Friends:

When a child dies, at any age, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated.  The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family.

2013 Meeting and Events Schedule…

Following are the support group meetings and remembrance events planned for the second half of 2013.  Notification of any special meeting subjects, guest speakers, webinars, etc. that are scheduled will be sent out via email and posted online, and published in newsletters if time permits.  Meetings are always subject to change — check Facebook or the web for updates.

TCF of Spokane support group meetings sometimes start with a theme or guest speaker to get the discussion moving, but most of the time is saved for talking  about our kids and sharing our experiences.  Feel free to bring something to share about your child or sibling, like photos, mementos, a poem or a story that you wrote.
